Key features of inductive displacement sensors

Inductive displacement sensing systems

  • measure contactless, basically free of wear, and with a high degree of robustness,
  • are ideal for static and highly-dynamic measurement of displacement without repercussion on the sensed object,
  • measure an absolute displacement, contrary to incremental systems
  • feature a continuous curve with low hysteresis und quasi-infinite resolution to the limit of system noise,
  • are versatile and flexible.

Range of applications

Different designs and measuring techniques make the sensors a flexible instrument for most linear measurement applications. Strokes from 1 mm to 1000 mm are available.

Features of Messotron sensors

MESSOTRON produce sensors - in series or one-off, standard or customized:

  • pressure resistant types up to 450 bar and spring-loaded (probes),
  • linearity classes of 0.5% or 0.25%, partly even down to 0.1% (FSO),
  • low temperature coeffcients, rugged design and long life,
  • different connection options (connector or wire, axial or radial),
  • sensors with pre-defined sensitivity; these ease sensor swop in testing machines.
