The measurement of greater distances or non-linear movement sets special requirements. In this case, specially designed linear measuring systems or rotary encoders based on optical, potentiometric or magnetic acquisition, offer the best solutions:
- space-saving draw wire sensors convert a linear movement or measurement distance into a rotary motion to be acquired. With these, displacements of up to 40 m can be acquired, even if there is no strictly linear movement or lateral shift.
- For even greater distances of up to 500 m, an optical linear measurement system specially designed for that and consisting of an economical, rugged steel band and a measuring head mounted on it, can be used.
- Incremental rotary encoders can be used for measuring the angle of rotation (instead of linear displacements).
- We offer matching digital displays for the direct display of analog or digital position signals with direct sensor feed and diverse output options.
